I thought it’d be fun to tell you a bit about myself with some random fun facts you may or may not know about me. You can also see a more in-depth introduction here!
- My name is Elizabeth Clancy but everyone just calls me Liz
- I’m from New Smyrna Beach, Florida which is the shark bite capital of the world!
- I’m 27 years old
- I’m a Capricorn and a Type 4 enneagram (“The Individualist — the sensitive introspective type: expressive, dramatic, temperamental, and self-absorbed” LOL)
- I moved to South Korea in October 2019 to teach English to elementary school cuties
- I self-study Korean but can understand it better than I can speak it
- I graduated from the University of Florida in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations
- If I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life it would probably be Mexican food. My granddad started a Tex-Mex restaurant called Clancy’s Cantina in 1983 and it’s still going strong in New Smyrna Beach today!
- I can probably drink a car bomb faster than you
- My favorite cheese is gouda
- I went to the taping of Late Night with Seth Meyers and he gave me his coffee mug because I told him it had the name of the city I lived in at the time on it (Gainesville, FL)
- I’ve been to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Italy, Austria, Prague, Barcelona and Portugal. Loved them all but Portugal was really something special
- South Korea was my first and only Asian country I’ve ever been to thanks to Corona thwarting any all travel plans
- I have three older sisters and two younger brothers
- I swam competitively for 13 years
- I’ve probably seen every episode of Sex and the City twenty times. I wish I was exaggerating — I could probably recite the episodes at this point
- I used to be OBSESSED with One Direction and had front row seats to their concert (I think Harry and I made eye contact???)
- Trypophobia is REAL and I definitely have it — I can’t even look at pictures of honeycombs without getting grossed out
- I was a vegetarian for almost 10 years because a few cousins and I decided to see who could last the longest without eating meat (I didn’t win)
- Korea has amazing food but by far the worst thing I’ve ever eaten has been FERMENTED STINGRAY. It smelled and tasted like ammonia? 0/10 recommend
